Born on February 1, 1941 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Doris (Iesner) Gansler. She was employed in the publishing industry until her retirement with her last position being an editor at Gravure Association of the Americas.

Sarita is survived by her extended family and friends.
