EAST FISHKILL – Scott Joseph Wood, 49, a lifelong area resident, died suddenly on June 4, 2022.

Born in Cold Spring, he was the son of Milton Joseph Wood and the late Michele DiCastro Colonna. Scott had been employed as a HVAC technician. He was a fan of the NY Giants, and enjoyed heavy metal music and detailing cars.

Scott is survived by his children, Marisa Wood and her fiancé Ricky Martell, Scott Joseph Wood Jr., Nicholas Wood and Jack Wood; his grandson, Julius Martell; his sisters and their husbands, Lisa and Marc Vumbico, Melissa and Greg Johnston; his niece, Raina Johnston; his friend and mother of his sons, Jennifer Faustner; his girlfriend, Tracy Tompkins Townsend; his father and his wife, Milton "Butch" and Patricia Wood; his stepfather, Peter Colonna and his family; and his beloved German Shepherd, Princess. In addition to his mother, he was also predeceased by his stepson, Steven D'Ottavio.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 25 from 1-3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a service at 3pm.
