Shawn W. Johnson, a lifelong local area resident, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026 following a sudden illness. He was 43.

He was born in Beacon on July 25, 1982 and graduated from John Jay Senior High School. Shawn worked as a self-employed landscaper.

He always enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and neighbors. However, more than anything else, he truly cherished being a father and did everything for his kids. He loved taking them fishing and was always their #1 fan at their baseball & football games and dance recitals.

Shawn is survived by his son and daughter, Jacob Joseph Johnson (12) and Jessa Ryan Johnson (11), both of Fishkill; his parents, Jerry and Linda (Hamilton) Johnson of Beacon; his brother, Jerry Johnson of Poughkeepsie; his longtime partner, Amanda Lewis; his aunts & uncles, Laurie Hamilton, Michael Healey, Glen Hamilton, Jim & Bonnie Johnson, John & Rhonda Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Joe Johnson, and Dave Silvestri; the mother of his children, Alicia Lucas Lucariello; as well as many cousins and close friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents as well as his aunt, Lisa Silvestri.

Visitation will be held from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on Saturday, April 4 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30pm.

In lieu of flowers, an education fund will be established for Shawn's children. Checks can be made payable to Linda Johnson.
