Sherrie L. Mikus, a Wappingers Falls resident for more than 20 years, died suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, February 21, 2014, at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie. She was 56.
She was born in White Plains on March 22, 1957 and was raised in Bedford Hills.
She is survived by her brother, Kenneth D. Mikus, Jr. and his wife Joan of Mahopac, and her niece, Hannah Mikus. She is also survived by many other members of her extended family. She was predeceased by her father, Kenneth Sr. in 2002, her paternal grandmother, Ethel, in 1993.
Sherrie will be remembered by those who loved her by the unflagging fortitude and perseverance with which she lived her life. The companionship she felt from her pets always gave her great comfort.
