FISHKILL – On Friday, January 15, 2021, Shirley Hedgecock, loving wife and mother of four children, passed away at the age of 87.

Shirley was born on January 21, 1933 in Poughkeepsie, NY to Percy and Katherine Brown. On August 14, 1954 she married Frederick H. Hedgecock, Sr. They raised four children: sons Frederick H. Hedgecock, Jr. (Jill) of Sparta, GA, Kenneth W. Hedgecock (Barbara) of Boca Raton, FL, Keith J. Hedgecock (Debra) of LaGrange, NY; and their daughter, Kathy M. DeRobertis (Jeffrey) of Wallkill, NY.

Shirley loved her family and after raising her children, she worked at Zimmer Brothers Jewelers for many years. After retiring, she loved to spend time with her family, travel, and go to the gym to exercise.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband Frederick; her parents, Percy & Katherine Brown; and her brother, Robert Brown.

She is survived by her four children; her grandchildren, Mitchell, Erika, Kacy (Brad), Karly (Tyler), and Nicole; her great-granddaughter, Cody; and several nieces & nephews as well as other family & friends.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation & Nursing for the care and support that they have provided Shirley for the past nine years.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 10am-12pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
