Siobhan Ann Dolphin, 18, a lifelong area resident, died on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at MidHudson Regional Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Siobhan was born in Peekskill on September 17, 1995. She attended St. Aloysius "Happy House" School and St. Denis-St. Columba School, both in Hopewell Junction. Siobhan was a 2013 graduate of John Jay High School. She loved to dance, and attended classes at Claudia's Dance Center for 13 years where she took classes in tap, ballet, and jazz. She was employed as a cashier at Oil Change Plus in Fishkill.
Siobhan is survived by her parents, Theresa (Hennessy) Dolphin of Fishkill and Patrick Dolphin of City Island; her siblings, Michael Hennessy and his wife Tatiana LaMarca of Manhattan, Christopher Dolphin of Wilkes-Barre, PA, and Brittany Dolphin of Fishkill; her grandmother, Mary Hennessy of Wappingers Falls; her grandparents, Mary and Patrick Dolphin of City Island; and her aunt and uncles, Shawn Hennessy of the Bronx and Maryann and Joe Maginnis of Staten Island. She was predeceased by her grandfather, Richard Hennessy and her uncle, Patrick Hennessy.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-5 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
Memorial donations may be made to a scholarship that is being established in Siobhan's name (John Jay High School Student Government (In Memory of Siobhan Dolphin), 2012 Route 52, Hopewell Jct., NY 12533).
