Sonia R Raymond, age 60, died May 30th 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Born December 8, 1958, in Kingston, Jamaica; she was the eldest of seven children. She attended Calabar All Age School with successful completion to pursue a career in nursing. While working at The Walkers Home for Children Sonia decided to change path to pursue a career as a paralegal for the Ministry of Housing in Jamaica. With a Bachelor's Degree in Business received from the University of the West Indies Sonia retired as project manager working for Carlton Cunningham & Associates.

Sonia had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way. She truly enjoyed the simple pleasures; chatting with friends, families and spending time with loved ones. She is survived by: daughters - Desrine and Kadeshia, grandchildren - Haley and Hayden, sisters -May and Rose, brothers - Harold, Phillip, Ray and Joseph along with nieces - Kayan, Michelle, Dacia, Brittiny, Kerry, Kamia, Terae & Titanya, nephews - Bradford, Tajay, & Johiib. Special thanks to extended family, in laws, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 7th from 11 am-12 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
