After a short illness, Sonja Arends Lewis, age 50, entered Heaven on January 2, 2013 while traveling to Indonesia, the country of her birth. She leaves behind her loving husband Esun Wilamargo, Fishkill, NY. She also leaves behind sisters Fina & Shanti, brother's Steve & Dondi, parents Josef and Win-Ni Arends and numerous nieces and nephews in Jarkarta, Indonesia. Burial is in Jakarta, Indonesia.

She was a talented dressmaker, dress designer, seamstress and tailor, working at the Men's Warehouse, Jos A. Bank and Alterations Etceteras. She made many custom wedding gowns and won 5 blue ribbons at the Dutchess County Fair.

Visiting hours to celebrate her life will be on Sunday, January 13th from 4 to 6 PM with a service following at 6 PM. All who knew Sonja will be welcome at their home in Fishkill, NY for the celebration and service.
