POUGHKEEPSIE - Stefan Michael Zacek, 56, an area resident for 20 years and formerly of New Windsor, died on Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at his home.
Born in Yorktown Heights on August 31, 1957, he was the son of the late Albert and Emily Caro Zacek. Stefan was employed as an engineer for Entergy at Indian Point for the last 25 years.
Stefan is survived by his daughters whom he greatly loved, Theresa Zacek and her husband Frank Giancamilli of Washingtonville, and Alessandra Yurchuk and her husband Joseph of Florida; his sister, Katherine Praino and her husband Anthony of Poughquag; his nieces, Kimberly and Kayla Praino; and his brother, Dean Zacek of Peekskill.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1 - 4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Memorial Service will follow at the Hopewell Reformed Church.
