Stephen D. Auresto, a 28 year resident of Stormville, died on Friday, March 8, 2013 with his family by his side at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 57.
Son of John and Janet Myers Auresto, he was born in Yonkers on April 21, 1955. On May 14, 1977, he married Theresa Gati in Yonkers.
Stephen worked for many years as a Pressman for Gannett Newspapers in Harrison. He was a member of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.
Stephen loved life, and had a wonderful sense of humor. His hobbies included golf, music and sports. Above all else, he lived for his family. He especially cherished being with his sons and grandson.
Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Theresa ; his sons & daughters-in-law, Stephen & Lauren Auresto of Connecticut and Nicholas & Rebecca Auresto of Connecticut; his grandscon, Stephen Michael Auresto; his mother, Janet Auresto of Southbury, CT; his sister, Linda Klose & her husband Ted of Southbury, CT; his sister, Joann Manuli & her husband Rocco of Oakville, CT; his brother, John Auresto & his wife Margaret of Carmel, NY; and many nieces, nephews and other loving relatives & friends.
Stephen was predeceased by his father, John Auresto.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 11 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12 at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
