Stephen Tyler DiRubba, 26, a lifelong area resident, died tragically and unexpectedly on June 28, 2016.

Born on March 25, 1990 in Poughkeepsie, Stephen was the son of Stephen B. and Wendy (Faucher) DiRubba. He was a graduate of John Jay High School.

Stephen was a charming, funny, yet tortured soul, battling against an addiction he was unable to defeat.

He enjoyed playing tennis, trained and received his black belt in karate and loved playing World of Warcraft. Like his family, he was an animal lover and adored all of their pets.

Along with his parents, Stephen is survived by his big sister, Heather Pastorini and her husband Paul; his grandparents, Dorothy Faucher, Rosemary and Louis DiRubba; and his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandfather, Roland Faucher, who loved him very much and was his biggest advocate until the day he passed in December 2015.
