EAST FISHKILL - Stephen A. Farfaro, 79, died peacefully at his home on November 18, 2021.
Born in Tenafly, NJ on March 1, 1942, he was the son of Alfred and Lillian (Armistead) Farfaro. He was a 1960 graduate from Wappinger Central Schools. An entrepreneur, Steve owned and operated Steve's Garage for 35 years and the Charlotte Grove Mobile Home Court in Hopewell Junction. He was a life member of the Whortlekill Rod & Gun Club and the NRA, and a member of the Shandaken Hunting Club, as well as numerous other sporting organizations. He enjoyed hunting, deep-sea fishing, and trap shooting.
On March 23, 1968 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fishkill, Steve married Irma Kahara who survives at home. He is also survived by his sons, Richard Farfaro and his wife Vera, and Ronald Farfaro; his grandchildren, Stephen, Sean, Sabrina and Anthony, Adam, Alexis and Richard; and his sister-in-law, Judy Farfaro. He was predeceased by his brother, Scott Farfaro.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Funeral Service will be held on Monday at 11am at the funeral home with Rev. John Young officiating. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
