Steven P. Merola, 61, a resident of Fishkill for 23 years and previously of Mount Vernon, died on Monday, May 2, 2016 at home.
Born in Mount Vernon on March 13, 1955, Steven was the son of Ralph and Christine (Canavan) Merola.
Steven was the Head Custodian for Mount Vernon Board of Education for 37 years. He loved sports, Cape Cod and Gettysburg.
On July 23, 1977 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Mount Vernon, Steven married Mary Swink who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Michael Merola; his daughter, Liane Delgado and her husband Mike; his siblings, Judith Glum and her husband, Daniel, Robert Merola and his wife Marcelle; his aunt, Bridget Bauman; and many nieces and nephews.
