Obituary

HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Steven John Page, 53, a lifelong area resident, died on January 18, 2019 in a snowmobile accident. He lived in Pleasant Valley before moving to Hopewell Junction twenty years ago.

Born in Poughkeepsie on September 18, 1965, he was the son of William Henry and Helen Wilser Page. Steven graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes High School and Siena College, was the founder and owner of Carrington Construction Corporation and a partner with his brothers at Page Park Associates. He was a communicant of St. Columba Church.

On June 5, 1993 in Huntington, Steve married Theresa (Kuntz) Page, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Emily, Sarah, Thomas and James Page all of Hopewell Junction; his parents, William and Helen of Pleasant Valley, his brothers and their wives, Brian and Emily Page of Millbrook, Darin and Dana Page of Rhinecliff, and Jason and Mary Elizabeth Page of Pleasant Valley; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Richard and Anita Kuntz of Stuart, Florida; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jackie and Mark Levinson of Mahopac; and countless other family members and close friends.

It is with heavy hearts that we grieve a true family man; an honorable, kind, loving and hard-working husband, son, father, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend who was always there for you in a crisis. An avid outdoorsman, he especially enjoyed hunting, boating, snowboarding, sailing, snowmobiling and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family on Lake Sacandaga and at Yankee games.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, followed by burial.

The family is asking that you write down a special memory or brief story about Steven or how he affected your life, and bring it on a small card or piece of paper to calling hours to be placed in the memory box.
