Steven J. Shaver, Land Surveyor, 52, raised in Yorktown, settled in Dutchess County in 1980 and died on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at his home.
He was the owner and operator of Steven J. Shaver Land Surveying in East Fishkill for 30 years and was a member of the Surveyors Union. Besides being an all a round nice guy, he enjoyed the outdoors, boating on the Hudson, going to the beach, playing racquetball and was a Mets fan.
Born in Albany on June 14, 1959 to North C. and Norma N. Shaver, Steve is survived by his sisters, Barbara Heffler and Suzanne Washburn, and his brother, David Shaver plus several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 6 to 7:30pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:30pm with Rev. Chris Boyd officiating.
