Suk Fong Ng passed away at her home in Hopewell Junction on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the age of 64, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Daughter of the late Nang Fat Ng and Kim Lam Chai, she was born in Hong Kong on August 13, 1958. At the age of 20, she immigrated to the United States where she first resided in New Jersey and then settled in New York City for many years prior to moving to Dutchess County, NY. She received her BS degree from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York City. She married her husband Dr. Wai Lau on August 8, 1987. Suk Fong worked as the office manager for her husband's pediatric medical practice, Kid's Doc Medical Service in Newburgh. She was a dedicated member of The House of Christ's Love in Verbank, where she participated in many of the church's fellowship programs and activities. Though she suffered from Ossification of the Posterior Longitudinal Ligament, which impacted her sleep and normal daily routine for the last two decades, she never let it stop her from showing love and kindness to others, especially to the sick. She served her Lord, Jesus Christ, faithfully through many church ministries, including sisters meetings, praise team, caring team, welcoming team, being a children's church teacher, and being a VBS principal. She has been on 5 short term mission trips in the US and China. Her family also went on a family mission trip to Bethel Foster Home in China in 2006. Her greatest joy was to share the love of Christ and she continued to praise and show gratitude to God even until the last days of her cancer suffering. Suk Fong is survived by her husband Dr. Lau in Hopewell Junction. Additional survivors include her children: Justin Lau of New York City, Kristian Lau of Buffalo, Jadon Lau of Hopewell Junction, and Alisa Lau of Hopewell Junction; her siblings: Suk Ching, Sue, Agnes, Elton and Christine; and many other relatives & friends.
