Susan W. McGrath Battaglia, of New York City, and formerly of Cold Spring, died suddenly on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Mount Sinai Hospital West in Manhattan.
Daughter of the late Donald J. and Ann M. (Cone) McGrath, she was born in Cold Spring on July 15, 1967. She graduated from Haldane High School in 1985.
She is survived by her daughter, Kasey Battaglia and granddaughter, Peyton Ann; her brother and sisters, Dr. Thomas J. McGrath of Pennsylvania, Ann McGrath Gallagher & her husband Ethan of Cold Spring, Renie McGrath & her husband Stephen Schweikhart of Cold Spring, Patricia McGrath of Cold Spring, and Christine McGrath Muscat of Fishkill; her partner, Joseph Johnson, Jr. of Manhattan; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
