Susan O. Hallinan, 76, an area resident since 2001, died on February 24, 2025 at Putnam Hospital Center.

Born in Portchester on October 11, 1948, Susan was the daughter of the late Virgil and Anita (Haines) O'Neill.

Susan's career in banking over several decades included time as an assistant branch manager for Citibank, and an investment manager for Tompkins Bank at several branches in Putnam and Dutchess Counties including Hopewell Junction where she retired from.

An avid reader, Susan also enjoyed sailing and scuba diving.

She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Jason and Angelique Hallinan and Jeffrey and Heather Hallinan; her grandchildren, Aidan and Jaxon Hallinan; and her sister, Linda "Windy" Pallidino and her husband Neil.

In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her husband, Richard Hallinan in 2017; and her brother, Edward O'Neill.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 6th from 3 - 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 7th at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by burial at Patterson Cemetery.
