EAST FISHKILL – Susan Gregory McHugh, 72, an area resident for 36 years and formerly of Chappaqua, died on June 1, 2022 at the Wingate at Dutchess following a long illness.

Born in Chicago, IL on March 4, 1950, she was the daughter of Chon and Dorothy (Everson) Gregory. Susan received her Bachelor's degree from West Virginia Wesleyan College. She was employed as a Library Clerk at Marist College for 27 years.

During her younger years, Susan enjoyed skiing, lifeguarding, and playing softball and field hockey. She also enjoyed working with children, gardening, needlepoint and riding motorcycles. Above all things, Susan loved her family.

Susan married Michael McHugh on September 11, 1982 at St. John & Mary Church in Chappaqua. She is survived by Michael, their son, Patrick McHugh and his wife Elena; her beautiful granddaughters, Erin and Everly; and her sisters, Pamela Ohrbach and Judith Gregory.

Services will be private at this time.

In lieu of flowers, the McHugh family requests Memorial donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
