Susan T. Monopoli, a longtime resident of Lagrangeville, NY, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2022. She was 73 years young.

Born on October 8, 1948, in the Bronx, Susan was the daughter of the late Josephine Bedani-Kearns who predeceased her on January 5, 2004. She married the love of her life, Leonard Monopoli, Jr., on August 3, 1979. He predeceased her on January 13, 2022. Together Susan and Leonard opened their heart and home to many throughout the years, providing warmth and love to all who walked through their doors.

Susan had a heart of gold and a smile that brightened any room. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her grandchildren looked forward to apple and pumpkin picking each year with grandma. Susan enjoyed cooking and made each holiday grand for her family --- there was never a shortage of delicious food at her home – especially her famous candied yams --- one of her son in-law's favorites. She enjoyed a home filled with loved ones and laughter. During her downtime, Susan enjoyed gameshows and a good Hallmark Channel romance.

Susan is survived by her daughter, Farrah Santelia and her husband, Sal; her daughter, Catherine Monopoli; her son, Francis and his wife, Dorothy; her daughter, Susan Monopoli; her son, Dante Monopoli and his wife; and her son, Joseph Monopoli. Susan's grandchildren include Giulio Santelia, Angelina Santelia, Noah Mason, Jacob Valerio, Eden Monopoli, and Maddox Monopoli. She is survived by so many more loved ones who honor the legacy of love she created.

In addition to her late husband and mother, Susan was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Parrella on January 26, 2004, her brother, Peter Bedani, Jr. on September 17, 2013, and her sister-in-law, Sylvia Bedani on March 3, 2022.

Susan will be lovingly remembered by all who had the good fortune to know her.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022, from 5pm-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at 9:30am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, NY. Interment will immediately follow at St. Peter's Cemetery, 171 Salt Point Turnpike, Poughkeepsie, NY.
