Susan Romani-McCabe, 61, of Beacon and formerly of Manhattan, died on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at home.
Born in Manhattan on March 25, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Clara (Quintieri) Romani. On October 2, 1982 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Greenwich Village, she married Patrick McCabe who predeceased her on July 9, 1999.
Known to many as a "Socialite" in Beacon, she was also involved with the Beacon Chamber of Commerce.
Susan is survived by her daughters, Kyrstin McCabe of Queens and Megan McCabe of Beacon; her beloved dog, Felicity; her "Sister", Maureen Grix and her husband Artie of Garden City; her brother-in-law, Michael McCabe and his wife Ericka; her sister-in-law, Bridget Minor; her Aunt Dotty Moccia, her cousin Arlene Del Fava, her nephews, Miles, Mark, Max, and Trevor; her nieces, Erin and Kelly; her grand dogs, Lucy and Buddy; and many other relatives and loving friends. She was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Maureen McCabe.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pmat the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The funeral service will beon Thursday at 10am at the funeral home followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
