Suzanne Carol Steere of Hopewell Junction, NY, passed away on June 21, 2026, at the age of 79.

Suzanne was born on December 5, 1946, in Port Chester, NY, to Leonard ("Lou") and Elsie Kangas of North White Plains, NY. She graduated from White Plains High School in 1965. She married her childhood sweetheart, Robert Steere in 1968, and they recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary.

Above all things, Suzanne enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be remembered by them for her boisterous laugh, generous hospitality, and magnetic company.

Suzanne is survived by her husband, Robert; her sons, Robert Jr. and Gary; her grandchildren, Samantha (Brian), Ryan (Alyssa), and Chelsea; her great-granddaughter, Charlotte; her siblings, Betty Healey, Diane Houle, Billy Kangas, Monica (Nick) Carl, Lou Kangas, and Helia (John) Johnson; and her many beloved nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Lenny.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a prayer service starting at 2 p.m. at McHoul Funeral Home, 895 NY-82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533.
