Sylvia Maria Silverence

HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Sylvia Maria Silverence, 63, died on August 4, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. An area resident since 2002, she previously lived on Staten Island.

Born on June 14, 1963 on Staten Island, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Anthony and Irene (Parisi) Tucciarone. She had been employed as a legal assistant for Kelly and Meehagh, LLP until her retirement.

Everyone will remember Sylvia as a devoted fan of true crime, rarely missing an episode of her favorite shows. She also enjoyed trips to the casino. Above all else, Sylvia's greatest joy was her family. She was an incredibly proud grandmother who cherished every moment spent with those she loved most.

On September 15, 1995 in Brooklyn, Sylvia married James D. Silverence who survives at home. She is also survived by her sons, James Silverence and his wife Reanna Silverence of Wappingers Falls, Anthony Silverence of Hopewell Junction, Robert Silverence of Hopewell Junction, and Michael Silverence and his girlfriend Elanna Kelly of Fishkill; her grandchildren, Isabella , Cameron , and James; and her dearest cousin, Fran DeQuatro of Staten Island.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill on Sunday, August 9th from 2 - 4 pm with a service at 4pm. Private inurnment will take place at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
