Telesforo Lopez Agustín, 44, passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, December 26, 2021. He was born in San Agustín Yatareni, Oaxaca, Mexico on August 18, 1977. In 1994, he moved to the United States and has been a resident of Dutchess County, having lived in Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls. Telesforo enjoyed cooking and worked for several local restaurants, most recently the Palace Diner in Poughkeepsie. In addition to cooking, he also loved to fish. Survivors include his son, Alexander Lopez of Wappingers Falls; his daughter, Elizabeth Lopez of Wappingers Falls; his granddaughter, Valentina McKenzie Lopez; his mother, Anatolia Agustín of Oaxaca, Mexico; his brother, Omar Lopez Agustín of Oaxaca, Mexico; his siter, Cilvia Lopez Agustín of Oaxaca, Mexico; as well as many other loving relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his father, Gilberto Lopez Gonzalez. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A funeral service will take place at 4 p.m. Telesforo will be laid to rest in Panteón General in his hometown of San Agustín Yatareni.
