REXFORD – Teresa Byrnes, 71, a resident of Rexford since 2013, died on Friday, September 22, 2017 at her home. She previously lived in Wappingers Falls.

Born in Glasgow, Scotland on August 27, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Owen and Susan (McDonald) Lynch. On December 11, 1971 in Scarsdale, Teresa married Edward W. Byrnes who predeceased her in 2009.

Teresa had been employed as a medical secretary for Mi-Hudson Medical Group in Fishkill for over 15 years until her retirement in 2005. During her retirement, she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and loved to watch them play soccer!

Teresa is survived by her sons and their spouses, Keith and Laura Byrnes of Frostburg, MD and Scott and Laurie Byrnes of Rotterdam; and her grandchildren, Madison and Molly Offstein and Madison and Connor Byrnes.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
