Terry "Tag" Muller, a lifelong local area resident, died suddenly at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Friday, January 18, 2013. He was 56.
Son of the late Thomas and Jane Duncan Muller, he was born in Poughkeepsie on April 18, 1956. Tag attended local schools and was a graduate of John Jay High School in East Fishkill.
He was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 445 for many years, and a long time employee of Ben Ciccone Inc. in Poughkeepsie. He had just retired in September 2012.
Terry joined the Rombout Fire Company in 1974 where he committed 23 years of active service until becoming exempt in 1997. He was former Chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners for the Rombout Fire District and was currently serving as Commissioner.
He enjoyed working around the house and yard, and always kept busy with different projects.
On May 15, 1982, he married Venda Arnette in Hopewell Junction. Mrs. Muller survives at home.
In addition to his wife, Terry is also survived by two sons, Terry Muller, Jr. & his fiancé Victoria French and Kyle Muller, both of Fishkill; his sister, Nancy Muller of Wappingers Falls; and many other loving relatives & friends.
He was predeceased in death by his infant son Billy in 1985; his father Thomas in 1986; his mother Jane in 1999; and his brother Thomas in 2010.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, January 20 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 21 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
