EAST FISHKILL – Teryn K. Gassler, 33, a lifelong area resident, died on April 7, 2021 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Born in Poughkeepsie on October 1, 1987, she was the daughter of Fred and Claudette (Dunbar) Gassler. Teryn was employed as a Registered Nurse at New York – Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.

Teryn lived her life boldly, fearlessly and to the fullest every day. She has a zest for life that included world traveling, reading, the ballet, and the theater. A kind and compassionate woman, she was a cherished blessing and hero to her family. Teryn's greatest gift was helping others, not only in her career, but in life.

In addition to her parents, Teryn is survived by her brother, Fred D. Gassler and his children, Trent, Logan and Gavin; her brother, Jason H. Gassler, his children, Myles and Stefon, and their mother, Jennifer Kessler; her sister, Valry L. Gassler, her daughter Aurelia, and her father, Gino Dinelli; her boyfriend, Devaughn Taylor and his mother Laverne Hairston; her devoted dog, A.J.; and her grandparents, Keith Irving and Yvonne Dunbar.
