Theresa D'Amato, 60, an area resident since 1978 and formerly of the Bronx, died on Monday, July 30, 2012 at her home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Manhattan on August 16, 1951, she was the daughter of Angelina Sollectio Baldinucci and the late Alfred Baldinucci. Theresa was a secretary in the main office at Arlington High where she shared an irreplaceable bond with both faculty and students. She also volunteered her time with several different organizations such as Relay for Life and HOPE. She was a parishioner of Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville.
Theresa is survived by her mother; her children, Alicia Martin and her husband Scott of Poughquag, and Anthony D'Amato of Poughkeepsie; and her grandchildren, Lilly and Benjamin Martin. In addition to her father, she was also predeceased by her brother, Gabriel Baldinucci.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:30 am at Blessed Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
