Theresa L. Holczinger, 78, passed away July 27, 2026 at Maplewood at Stony Hill in CT. A resident of Holmes since 1979, she previously lived in the Bronx.
Born on October 18, 1947 in New York City, Theresa was the daughter of the late Angelo and Clementine (Grassia) Margiasso. She began her career in medical records at Misericordia Hospital in the Bronx. After moving to the Hudson Valley, she spent many years as a teacher's aide with the Pawling Central School District before concluding her career as a sales associate at Macy's, where she eventually retired from.
On September 7, 1968, she married Joseph James Holczinger who predeceased her in 2025 after 56 years of marriage.
Theresa was an avid shopper with a special love for shoes, and she always carried herself with elegance and style. She cherished the company of her family and friends and was often the first to make her way to the dance floor. Alongside her husband, she shared a love for Disney, a passion they happily passed on to their family. Above all, Theresa was devoted to her family. She treasured every moment spent with them and especially enjoyed bringing everyone together around the table for the family dinners she lovingly prepared.
Theresa is survived by her children, Joseph Holczinger and his wife Kim, Nicole Moore and her husband William, and Amanda Holczinger; her grandchildren: Joseph Holczinger Jr, Noah Holczinger, and Isabella and Brayden Moore; her sisters, Carol Spilotras, Donna Kinlen, and Angela Torriero; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
