WAPPINGER – Theresa L. Horn, 91, a lifelong area resident, died peacefully on June 21, 2022 at her home.

Born in Saranac Lake on October 2, 1930, she was the daughter of Thomas Lyle LaVallee and Sara (Prime) LaVallee. Theresa was a nurse at Highland Hospital in Beacon and Butterfield Hospital in Cold Spring. She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill, was an avid fan of the NY Mets, and enjoyed sewing.

Theresa was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Herbert K. Horn; her son, James Horn; her granddaughter, Ronnilla Parsons; and her siblings, Thomas, Charles, John and Joseph LaVallee, and Elizabeth Freeman. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Raymond and Patte Horn, William and Elizabeth Horn, Michael and Esther Horn; her grandchildren, Vincent and Emily Horn, Christopher Horn, Christen and Matthew Prete, Tamala Andrew; her great-grandchildren, Zander Horn, Nicholas, Zachary and McKenzie Prete, and Anella Jeffrey; and her sister, Ellen Flock.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by interment in St. Joachim's Cemetery, Beacon.
