Theresa B. Schollmeyer, 85, an area resident of 24 years and formerly of Yonkers, died on Thursday, May 9, 2013.

Born in Yonkers, she was the daughter of George and Anna Fekety Tkach. She worked for New York Telephone and AT&T. Theresa was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville.

Theresa married William A. Schollmeyer Jr. who predeceased her 42 years ago. She is survived by her sons, William of Wappingers Falls, and Kurt, along with his wife Barbara of Salt Point; a daughter, Bonnie Valenti along with her husband Anthony of Yonkers; a brother, Joseph Tkach of Armonk; grandchildren, Kelly Ceely, Pamela Garcia, Michael Valenti, Karen Valenti-DeCecco, Eric and James Schollmeyer; and great-granddaughters, Breanne Ceely, and Katherine DeCecco.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 14th from 5-8PM at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 15th at 10 AM at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by entombment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
