Thomas R. Cirrincione, age 80, passed away on July 29, 2023 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. He was born in Mount Vernon, NY on April 4, 1943 to the late Thomas J. and Mary (Maietta) Cirrincione. On November 21, 1964 he married his beloved wife Elaine (Hurlie) Cirrincione. Elaine survives at home.
Thomas recently worked for the Town of East Fishkill Highway Department and previously worked as a bus driver for Wappingers Central School District. Thomas started his career with the fire department by volunteering for the Mount Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. Upon moving up to Stormville, he continued his service for the East Fishkill Fire Department as an Assistant Chief, Commissioner of the E.F.F.D, E.F. Rescue Squad, Safety Officer and Parade Chairman. As an active life member of the Stormville Fire Company, he served as Chief, President and currently the active Vice President.
Thomas served with the US Navy from 1960 - 1966.
Community service was definitely a passion of his. Thomas was a member of The Dutchess County Board of Elections, previous President of the WCSD WFW - Local 3745, past President of the East Fishkill Republican Club, 4-H leader in addition to countless other organizations.
Tom was known as the life of the party, always making others laugh.
In addition to his wife Elaine, Thomas is survived by his children Thomas Cirrincione (Krissy) and Tara Asher (Dan) his grandchildren Kaylee and Tori Cirrincione, Ryan Cirrincione-Asher and Jacob Asher; his sister-in-law Lorraine Hurlie, her children Jasen, Deren and their families; Brother-in-Law and Sister-in-Law Kenneth and Joanne Hurlie, their son Jeffrey and his wife Laura; nephew Anthony Cirrincione, niece Michelle McIntyre, their families and Nephew Michael Cirrincione as well as Niece Mary Sue, his sister Arlene and countless additional family and friends.
Thomas was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Anthony and Susan Cirrincione; and his brother-in-law Douglas Hurlie.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday August 2, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with Firematic Services to be held at 7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc. 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction, NY. A Funeral Service will be held with Military Honors at the funeral home on Thursday August 3, 2023 at 11 am.
