Thomas DelGrande, 94, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 26 years and previously of White Plains, died at Wingate at Dutchess on August 8, 2021.
Born on January 1, 1927 in White Plains, Thomas was the son of Joseph and Antoinette (Cannizzaro) DelGrande.
Thomas proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked as an accountant for Metropolis Country Club in Greenburgh for 35 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in White Plains and enjoyed playing golf and bowling. He spent time watching football and golf.
In 1953 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in White Plains, Thomas married the love of his life, Eleanor Zuzolo, who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Ann Tartaglione of Haverstraw, Joseph DelGrande of Wappingers Falls, and Angelo DelGrande of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Joseph DelGrande and Jonathan DelGrande and his wife Nadia; his 2 great grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia; and his sister, Angelina Russo and her husband Joe of White Plains.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11am-1pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 1:30pm at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment at St. Denis Cemetery.
