Clinton Corners- Thomas Leo Dinegar, 93 an area resident formerly of Southampton, NY, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on July 28, 2023.

Born in Queens, NY, Thomas proudly served our country overseas in the US Army Signal Corps. He later joined the New York City Police Department, retiring after many years as a police detective.

His beloved wife Therese Anne (Madigan) predeceased him on September 24, 1992. He was also predeceased by his brother, Allan. Thomas is survived by his sister Claire Tivoli, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Thomas was a naturally talented woodworker and builder, and in later years, became an avid golfer. He also enjoyed repairing antique clocks and birdwatching from his lakeside deck. He will be missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on August 1, 2023, at 10am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish Catholic Church, 1590 Main Street, Pleasant Valley, NY. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Hawthorne, NY
