Thomas F. Kirchner, 61, a resident of Poughkeepsie for 25 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in the Bronx on July 5, 1951, he was the son of Thomas and Harriet Grimm Kirchner. Tom was employed as an electrician with Local #3 in Queens for 25 years. He was a parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church in LaGrangeville and a member of the Knights of Columbus in LaGrange. He enjoyed writing, as well as listening to oldies and techno music.
On June 25, 1989 in LaGrange, Tom married Lisa Struss who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Derek Rollinson and his wife Mar-Li of San Francisco, Cory Rollinson of Poughkeepsie, Michael Kirchner of Poughkeepsie and Zachary Kirchner and his wife Sara of Poughkeepsie; his grandchild, Cadence Collier; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville.
