Thomas Kenneth Lauria, born December 26th, 1967 in New Rochelle, New York, passed away on December 5th, 2024 at the age of 56. He lived by his adoring wife, Andreia, and his two daughters, Angelina and Melissa. Thomas - a jokester - went by many names to his family including "Dhomas," "Big Guy," and "Mr. Magoo." However, he was most well known as "Teapot" by his siblings and friends from childhood.

Born and raised on Elm Street in New Rochelle, New York, Thomas attended New Rochelle High School. He was a loyal friend and family member to his siblings and parents, and Thomas loved his hometown.

Thomas worked for Suez (formerly United Water) of New Rochelle for 25 years. At work, home, and around every and anybody, Thomas was a caring, empathetic, and hardworking person. Thomas was always thinking: about his wife, his kids, his siblings, nieces, nephews, and the world around him. He had a solution to everything and ideas to make it all better.

Moving to Dutchess County in 2007, Thomas spent his days working on his home and exploring the outdoors. He sang, laughed, and loved endlessly.

In 2019, Thomas was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and was soon forced to leave work. His disease was progressive, and those around him recognized quick changes in his behavior and mood. Through it all, Thomas demonstrated immense strength, perseverance, and love. He passed peacefully at his residence in Hopewell Junction surrounded by his loved ones.

Thomas and his life will be celebrated on Saturday, December 14th at McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction from 12 - 2 pm with a service at 2 pm.
