POUGHQUAG - Thomas Daniel Leal, 27, passed away on Sept. 16th 2024 at home. A lifelong area resident, he had lived in Florida for the last 3 years.

Tommy was born in Elberton, GA on July 14, 1997. He attended Arlington High School in Poughkeepsie, NY. Tommy enjoyed listening to music. He had been employed by Masterminds Care Treatment Center as a Behavioral Health Technician.

He was proud of his recovery, and had been inspirational over the last three years in helping many individuals overcome their addictions and diseases.

Tommy is survived by his parents, Daniel and Elizabeth (Avignone) Leal; his sister, Laurie Leal; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 2-6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at the funeral home followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
