Poughkeepsie – Thomas N. Schmeiser, Jr., age 75, passed away on March 30, 2022 at Northern Dutchess Hospital. He was born on August 5, 1946 in Ellenville, NY to Thomas and Doris (Rode) Schmeiser. On May 23, 1976, he married his love Joan Schmeiser (nee' Spence).

Thomas was a general manager at Con Edison and was with the company for 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed golfing, fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his beloved wife Joan; his loving daughter Sherri (William); his dear granddaughters: Katherine (Thomas) and Melissa; his siblings Charles Schmeiser (Mary Ann) and Carla Michel (Robert); and his nephews Roby Michel (Evonne) and Mark Michel (Lisa).

Calling hours will be on Sunday April 3, 2022 from 2-6pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY. A funeral service will be held on Monday April 4, 2022 at 11am at the funeral home with burial to follow at Cold Spring Cemetery.
