HOPEWELL JUNCTION –Thomas Schoonmaker, 98, a lifelong area resident, died on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Poughkeepsie on December 5, 1913, he was the son of the late Grace Schoonmaker. He was employed as an Apprentice at Western Printing in Poughkeepsie for 40 years until his retirement in 1973.
Thomas is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces, and great-great-nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, 342 South Avenue, Poughkeepsie.
Memorial donations may be made to Fairview Fire District, 258 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
