Thomas Vincent Walsh, 80, of New York, New York, passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2022. He was born in Shelton, CT to the late Timothy Walsh, Jr. and Adeline Sawaska Walsh. Tom was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather who loved his family fiercely.

Preceding him in death were his wife, Maria Pignataro Walsh; his parents; and his brother Timothy Walsh, III.

Tom was an avid skier all his life, and a dedicated member of the Magic Mountain, VT community for more than four decades - loyally supporting a spirited mountain as humble as himself. He was also an avid New York Giants fan, an IBM 'lifer' of 38 years, and the beloved patriarch of a large, vibrant family. He was respected and loved by many who enjoyed his unending optimism, generosity, and joy of life. Tom provided unwavering support for his loved ones and will be remembered for his unparalleled dependability, strength, and heart.

Tom is survived by his partner, Deanne Gilman; his daughter, Marisa Beth Merlino (John); his son, Keith Thomas Walsh (Angela); and his grandchildren, Taylor Lynn Cramer, Jordan Thomas Cramer, Emily Grace Walsh, Austin James Walsh, Maria Elizabeth Walsh, Taylor Aaron Brown (Melanie), Ashley Marie Brown, and Caitlyn Nicole Brown. He is also survived by his sister, Susan Walsh.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Hudson Valley Hospice and McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. for their excellent care and compassion. An intimate celebration of life service will be held privately for family.
