WAPPINGERS FALLS - Thomas Francis Williams, 82, an area resident since 1967, died on June 4, 2024 at Danbury Hospital following a long illness.
Born in Dobbs Ferry on December 2, 1941, he was the son of the late Thomas and Jeanette (Bohlinger) Williams. Tom proudly served our country as a Lieutenant in the US Navy. He graduated from Dobbs Ferry High School, SUNY Delhi, New England College, and received his MBA from American State University. He had been employed by Metropolitan Life, placing in the top 2% of sales representatives in the US and Canada for many years.
On September 28, 1966 in Croton, Tom married the love of his life, Sheila Kelly, who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Brian; his daughter-in-law, Hillary Post Williams; his grandsons, Thomas F. Williams and Kyle K. Williams; and many loving brothers- and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas K. Williams, on December 10, 2005; and his brother, George Williams.
Tom was a parishioner of St. John's Church in Beacon. An avid fan of the New York Football Giants, he also enjoyed fine food, music and spending time at the beach.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 3-7pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 11:30 at St. Columba Church, 835, Route Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
