Timothy J. Moore, 58, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 1968, died on Monday, November 19, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Newburgh on May 10, 1954, he was the son of the late Frederick and Lois (Manning) Moore. On January 14, 1978 at St. Mary, Mother of The Church in Fishkill, Timothy married Elizabeth M. Distler who survives at home.

Timothy was employed as Golf Course Superintendent at Knollwood Country Club in Elmsford for 26 years until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of the New York State Turfgrass Association, the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, the Metropolitan Golf Course Superintendents Association, and the Hudson Valley Golf Course Superintendents Association.

In addition to his beloved wife, Elizabeth Moore, Timothy is survived by his loving children, Meredith Moore and her fiancée Alex Sanchez of Norwalk, CT and Brian Moore of Hopewell Junction; his brother, Patrick Moore and his wife Linda of Hopewell Junction; his brother, Thomas Moore of Beacon; his brother, Frederick Moore of Kingston; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rita and William Napoleon of Clinton Corners, Dennis and Ann Distler of Arnold, MD, and William and Courtney Distler of Fishkill; his aunt, Charlene Moore of Beacon; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who all adored him very much.

Calling Hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 & 7-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by the Funeral Service at 8pm.
