HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Tinamarie Griggs, 50, died on February 2, 2021 at home. A resident of Hopewell Junction since 2013, she previously lived in Patterson.
Tina was born in Manhattan on September 3, 1970. She graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School in Manhattan. Tina was employed as a teaching assistant at Fishkill Elementary School for the past 6 years.
She was a devoted Catholic, and attended Mass at both St. Columba Church and St. Mary, Mother of the Church. She enjoyed playing Bingo at Foxwoods Casino and loved taking family trips to Vermont. Most of all, she was a dedicated wife and mother, and her husband and children meant the world to her.
In May 1996, she married Rigo S. Griggs Sr. who survives at home. She is also survived by her 7 children, Rigo Jr. and his fiancée Rand, April, Joseph, Tiana, Jake, Jillian, and Jackson; her parents, Joseph and Josephine (Mazzarella) Moscioni of Hopewell Junction; her brother, Joseph Moscioni and Emily of Beekman; her mother-in-law, Roswitha Griggs of Hopewell Junction; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Randolph and Robin Griggs; her nieces, Jessica and Alexis; and many friends and co-workers. Tina is now in Heaven with her beloved grandparents and other family members who predeceased her.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 1-5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by Interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery. PLEASE NOTE: In compliance with NYS guidelines, social distancing and face masks will be required. Since capacity may be limited, all attendees should be prepared for potential extended waiting periods.
