Toni Sue McVeigh, a resident of Dutchess County for more than 20 years and formerly of Yorktown Heights, passed away at home in Poughkeepsie on Tuesday, January 6, 2026. She was 96.

Daughter of the late Robert P. and Catherine L. (Estes) Travis, she was born in Norwalk, CT on November 2, 1929. For most of Toni's career, she could be found at Yorktown Town Hall, a job she truly enjoyed and greeted everyone with a smile. She was a longtime active parishioner of St. Christopher's Church in Red Hook and always enjoyed taking trips to visit with friends.

Toni is survived by her son, Patrick McVeigh (Jane); her son, Kenny McVeigh (Lisa); her daughter, Colleen Rogers (Rick); her grandchildren: Patrick McVeigh (Maria), Kristen Ohrvall (Brian), Travis McVeigh (Michelle), Erin Yehl (Jason), Kayla McVeigh (Frank), Ryan McVeigh (Jennifer), Jennifer McVeigh, Kevin Rogers, and Michael Rogers (Jessica); her great-grandchildren: Skyler, Peyton, Layla, Patrick, Paul, DaniRose , Emma, Olivia, Frankie, Riley, Ryan, Jack, Kai, Denver, and Mason; as well as many other loving family members and friends.

Calling hours will be held from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, January 8 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill , Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10: 00am on Friday, January 09 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
