Fishkill- Ursula Maria Mesa passed away on March 1, 2022 at her home. She was born on December 23, 1941 in the Danzig region of East Prussia to parents Karl Heinz and Else (Radtke) Mrotzek.

Ursula came to the United States at age 12. Throughout her life in the U.S., she lived in Tarrytown, Ossining, and Croton-on-Hudson. For the past 12 years she made her home in Fishkill. Before retiring in 2006, she worked at Sky View Rehabilitation & Health Care in Croton-on-Hudson as a Certified Nursing Assistant. For fun, Ursula enjoyed knitting, reading, going thrift shopping and taking trips to the casino.

Ursula is survived by her loving daughters Victoria Gibbs (Bernard) of Beacon, NY and Elena Pendell (Richard) of Marion, AR; her beloved grandchildren Erika, Ryan (Asime), and Kerri Gibbs; great-granddaughter Zameena; siblings Maria Cartalemi, Frank Misiunas, Paul Misiunas, and Tina Albanese; her former husband and friend Jose Mesa; her dear friend of over 60 years Irma Virtuoso; and many nieces and nephews especially Dawn Alexander who was an important part of Ursula's life.

Ursula was predeceased by brothers Gerhardt Radtke, Lothar Moore, Anton Misiunas, Edward Radtke; and her fiancé' Walter Ward.

Services will be private. Ursula will be laid to rest in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc. 1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY.
