HOPEWELL JUNCTION - Venemin Hida, 71, died on April 18, 2026 at his home.

Born in Albania on April 20, 1954, he was the son of the late Jani and Liri Hida. He worked as an engineer building bridges in Albania. He moved to the United States 10 years ago.

Survivors include his wife, Zhaneta Hida; his daughter, Teuta Cota; his son, Edi Hida; his grandchildren, Adora and Davin; his siblings, Violeta Shohu, Roza Bezhani, and Poreshyevi Shabeni; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Tuesday, April 21st from 10 am - 12pm followed by burial at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, 2822 Route9D, Wappingers Falls.
