Vera Matushak, 90, a former resident of Bridgewater, NJ for 35 years, died on Monday, July 5, 2010 at the Wingate at Dutchess in Fishkill.
Born on January 1, 1920 in Plainfield, NJ, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Hydock Hirchak. She enjoyed gardening, entertaining and spending time with her grandchildren.
On August 30, 1938 in Elkton, MD, Vera married Steve Matushak who predeceased her on November 17, 2000. She is survived by her son, Steve Matushak of Frisco, CO; her granddaughters, Pamela Lynch of Wappingers Falls, Karen Lorusso of Monroe, CT and Kristin Schiesser of Chalfont, PA; and her great-grandchildren, Carley Lynch, Taylor Lorusso, Nicholas Lorusso, Samantha Schiesser and Allison Schiesser.
The services will be private.
