Victoria Ranere-Shreve, a longtime resident of Monroe and formerly of the Bronx, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation & Extended Care Center in Highland. She was 68.
Daughter of the late Attilio and Bohemia (Coccia) Ranere, she was born in the Bronx on September 12, 1954. Victoria dedicated her life to the safekeeping of more than 50 foster children, most of whom were infants while in her care.
Her hobbies included arts & crafts, especially ceramics, sewing, and floral arrangement design. More than anything else, she cherished spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Jessica Packer & her husband Ryan of Warwick; her daughter, Corinne Delango & her husband Anthony of Hopewell Junction; her daughter, Danielle Walsh & her husband Jared of Delhi; her daughter, Aisha D'Esposito & her husband Christopher of Harriman; her son, Victor Zeccardi of Harriman; her grandchildren: Devin, Zachary, Zoe, Carmine, Dominic, Frances, Angelo, Leela, Tadgh, Christopher Jr., Jordan, Aidan, and Tay'Shawn; her sister, Andrea Filardo; her brother, Gerard Raneri; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends. She is also survived by her former husband and the father of her children, Lawrence Zeccardi.
Victoria was predeceased by her parents as well as two brothers, John Ranere and Raymond Ranere.
The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, staff, and residents of Hudson Valley Rehabilitation & Extended Care for providing Victoria with such tremendous care, compassion, and companionship over the past 8 years.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 27 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 28 at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
