Vincent Capozzi Jr. passed away at Hudson Valley Hospice House on December 3, 2024 at the age of 88. He was born on January 1, 1936 in the Bronx to the late Vincent and Rose (Priano) Capozzi.

Vincent proudly served our country in the United States Army. He worked as a Transit Police Officer in District 11 in NYC. During that time, he would also work security at Yankee Stadium.

Vincent was the life of the party. He loved life and always wanted to include his loved ones in his happy times. He took care of his family throughout good times and bad, and he never missed important milestones in his grandchildren's lives.

Vincent is survived by his wife Lorraine Capozzi; his daughter Michele Capozzi; his grandsons Anthony and Vincent Bucci; his sister Norma Romano; his nieces: Elissa Anticev and her husband John, Debbie Smoker, Cheri Jones and her husband David; and his great nieces and nephews: John Anticev Jr., Shannon Jones, and Scott Thomas and his wife Kori.

He was predeceased by his son Vinny Capozzi and his sister Joan Smoker and his nephew Stephen Smoker.

Calling hours will be held on Monday December 9th, 2024 from 2-6 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home 895 Route 82 Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am on Tuesday December 10th, 2024 at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, followed by burial at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
