EAST FISHKILL – Vincent Anthony McCabe, 58, an area resident for 32 years and formerly of Woodlawn, died suddenly at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on May 5, 2022.

Born in New York City on January 9, 1964, he was the son of the late James and Mary (Clarke) McCabe. Vinny had been employed as a service technician with General Electric for many years. He was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. He served as a football coach for the Southern Dutchess Packers and Patriots, and as a lacrosse coach for the Wappingers Warriors.

On February 27, 1988 at St. Francis of Rome Church in the Bronx, Vinny married Janet Lombardi who survives at home. He is also survived by his sons, Michael, Vincent, Ronald and Andrew McCabe; his daughter, Teresa Donato and her husband, Nick; his siblings and their spouses, Bernadette and Christopher McLaughlin, James and Patricia McCabe, Kevin McCabe and Michael and Anne Marie McCabe; his mother-in-law, Marie Lombardi; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 103 Jackson Street, Fishkill.
